I am a clinical massage therapist licensed in CT and NY and currently have a private clinical practice in Canaan, CT.
I practice massage based on a strong commitment to continuing education in special areas such as orthopedics, pathology, aromatherapry as well as stayig current with new modalites. I believe the balance of body, mind and spirit are essential for overall health.
My formal training during a two year clinical program at Connecticut Center for Massage Therapy included courses in Swedish and Sports massage techniques, Neuromuscular and Myofacial therapy as well as advanced studies in Anatomy & Physiology, Pathology, Kinesiology, Neurology and Acupressure. Upon graduating as an RN, CALM will blend the two worlds of Eastern and Western science with an emphasis in orthopedic & clinical massage.
I divide my time between my love of sports, music, knitting and being a nursing student at University of Massachusetts. As well as, being a mother of two amazing young men and a pet parent to two maniacle dogs! I enjoy my community service and volunteer weekends providing sports massage to various events such as The Boston Marathon, a sponsor for Julia's Wings Foundation for the Kent Pumpkin Run as well as provide finish line restorative massage for the Hudson Valley Rail Ride.
My dedication to helping both men and women in recovery has given me the opportunity to stay grounded and quiet the mind which is so critical in todays world.
